Max Rushden's Renault Clio with Boot of Loot!

Max Rushden has donated his beloved Renault Clio to be sold for this charity close to his heart.

Super Renault Clio Alize owned and loved by SoccerAM's Max Rushden. 5-door hatch with electric windows, sunroof, remote locking.  Very tidy for it's year.  Blue and grey upholstery with no rips or tears. 

Max handed us the keys to this Clio when he bought his new car, and deliberately left the car 'as he used it' for the contents to be auctioned with the car.  We're not talking screen-wash here (although I believe there was some).  The lucky buyer will also get...

We asked for a few words from Max about his donation. Here's what he said...

Hello I'm Max, and this was my Clio.  Before that it belonged to my mate John who bought it new when we were at 6th Form.  I've spent 4 years hosting Soccer AM getting abuse for driving it when everyone else turns up in Porsches and what have you.  But I love it.  And it has a built in cassette player - I've left some tapes in there that former Chesterfield Striker Martin Gritton sent me.

It's the first car I ever drove.  I'm sure you will love it too.

I work at an emergency Homeless Shelter (Shelter from the Storm) on a Monday night, helping cook dinner for 40 guests.  I mainly chop onions and gossip while someone else does all the hard work, but over the past year or so I've got to know the people staying there, and really believe in what the shelter does in trying to help them get into a position where they can get a job, and somewhere to live and get back into normal life, if you like.  So you'll get a car that works, a really useless claim to fame ("this car used to belong to that bloke off soccer am") and the shelter will get some money.  Everyone wins.
